The people of Bhutan frequently decorate the outsides of their houses and shops with a variety of images - tigers,
dragons, birds, and so on. One of the most common themes is the decorative penis which is said to protect the building.
These often come as a pair of mirror image phalluses.
In the spirit of thematic travel, here is a sampler of the penis art we encountered in our travels.
